This mural marks the beginning of “THE JOURNEY” theme that runs along the ground floor corridor of the school where I have been working on a series of Irish Mythology Murals. Here is the legendary Queen Maebh with both the white and brown bull form her famous story “The Cattle Raid of Cooley”, as they set off on the journey. They are accompanied by some deer and Ireland’s national animal – The Hare, who appears numerous times throughout this series as companion and guide, showing the way the mural story unfolds.
